Absolute rate coefficients for dielectronic recombination (DR) of lithiumlike Sc18+ and F6+ ions have been measured at the Heidelberg heavy-ion Test Storage Ring (TSR). The investigated electron energy ranges (0 to 60 eV for Sc18+ and 0 to 15 eV for F6+) cover all DR resonances related to 2s→ 2p1/2 and 2s→ 2p3/2 Δ n=0 core excitations. Special attention is given to low energy DR resonances which can be measured with very high resolution (energy spreads down to 3 meV). For Sc18+ and F6+ these are associated with 1s2 2p3/2 10lj and 1s2 2pj 6lj′ intermediate states respectively. Both spectra show a very good agreement between experiment and relativistic many body perturbation theory including QED effects.
