We present measured distributions of intact and fragmented C60-ions in coincidence with stabilization of s electrons on the projectiles in Pb54+-, Xe30+- and Ar8+-C60 collisions. The Ar8+-C60 spectra are consistent with those already published [1] but the mass resolution has been improved by more than one order of magnitude revealing, e.g., doubly charged light fragments (C112+, C132+ and C152+) in coincidence almost exclusively with collisions in which s=3. The highest charge of an intact C60r+ recoil ion was r=7 for Ar8+. The comparatively low intensity of the Pb54+-beam only allowed measurements of one, two, three or four stabilized electrons yielding a maximum target charge for intact C60 of r=8 in spectra virtually free of fragmentation. This shows that cold highly charged molecular ions are efficiently created at high q. At the time of writing the, Xe30+-C60 measurements are not completed but we hope that our high mass resolution will be helpful in the search for the maximum charge of intact (metastable) C60. 1mm [1] H.
