Collisions between ions have attracted great interest in the recent years as they have many applications like e.g. in plasma physics or storage ring designs. They also allow to study basic collision processes in specially tailored systems like pure single electron systems. We have extended our studies towards collisions of molecular ions with atomic ions. Measured absolute cross sections for charge transfer in collisions of H2+ with He2+ and Ar2+ followed by subsequent break-up of the molecule will be presented. Especially the first system is very interesting for theory, as it is a pure one electron system, but with a 3-center nuclear potential during the collision. First indications of a molecular alignment for charge transfer as has been widely found in collisions with neutral ions will be discussed.
