We report collinear laser spectroscopy measurements on short-lived neon isotopes performed at the on-line mass separator ISOLDE at CERN. To cope with the low count rates of very short-lived isotopes produced by nuclear reactions, we implemented a highly sensitive detection technique, which is based on state selective collisional ionization and detection of radioactivity. To meet the requirements for the accuracy, we developed a new method of calibrating the beam energy at resonance by simultaneous excitation of two atomic levels in a collinear / anticollinear geometry. The aim of the experiment is the determination of nuclear charge radii and moments. We report preliminary results for the isotope shifts of 17−28Ne and hyperfine structure parameters of the odd isotopes.
