Yields of the Naq+ ions produced by the decay of the Na1s−1 states are measured using photoelectron-photoion coincidence technique and calculated using the branching ratios obtained in configuration-average Hartree-Fock approximation. Measured yields of the photoions with q = +1, +2, +3, +4 are 0.0139, 0.636, 0.331, 0.019. These compare well with the calculated values: 0.023, 0.645, 0.332, 0.000. The experiment could only be reproduced if the mixing of the KLL decay channels 2s−2 and 2p−2 is considered. The remaining discrepancy is due to the double Auger processes which has not yet been included in the calculation.
