Multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock as well as semiempirical calculations of decay rates of magnetic dipole (M1) and electric quadrupole (E2) forbidden transitions within the ground 6s26p3 configuration of neutral bismuth are reported and compared with relativistic Hartree-Fock results as well as with available experimental data. We included higher order relativistic corrections as well as Breit interaction in our calculations.
All the calculations were performed in the Computer Center in Gdańsk TASK, using the GRASP92 package [1].
