Dynamics and radiation of charged particles with spin — •M. W. Walser und C. H. Keitel — Theoretische Quantendynamik, Universität Freiburg, Hermann-Herder-Straße 3, 79104 Freiburg
We investigate the dynamics and radiation of an electron [1] in a laser
field.
For a linearly polarized plane laser field the motion - in contrast to
ordinary
Maxwell dynamics - becomes three-dimensional [2].
If the electron also moves in Coulomb field (bound dynamics), it is
possible
to use the existence of the spin for generation of very pure light.
We also discuss the existing classical relativistic theories describing
charged particles
with spin and show which one stands out as far as clearness and simplicity
is
concerned.
