Optical Properties of Substituted Diphenyl-1,3,4-Oxadiazoles — •Olga Franco, Burkhard Schulz, Ingo Orgzall, and Wolfgang Regenstein — Universitaet Potsdam
Oxadiazole compounds have recently found increasing interest in a growing field of technological applications as new high-tech materials (LEDs, sensors). Our investigation is focused on a class of differently substituted diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles. We present results from absorption, luminescence and vibrational spectroscopic measurements in solutions and the solid state. The variation of these properties with high pressure is studied. Molecular modeling is used to interpret the behaviour.
