At the JET tokamak, the spatial distribution of impurity radiation in the divertor has been analysed using three CCD cameras coupled to interference filters measuring deuterium (Dα, Dγ) and carbon (CII, CIII) lines. These measurements are of fundamental importance for power exhaust from the divertor via impurity radiation which has to reduce the peak power loads and for the analysis of erosion and deposition processes. The 2D emission profiles, obtained under a given viewing angle, have been reconstructed by the Singular Value Decomposition method to transform the emission pattern into a poloidal plane. This method and some results will be presented and discussed.
