We apply microchip technologies to create new devices for coherent cold-atom manipulation. Building upon our “magnetic conveyer belt” device, we are exploring new devices that become possible with this approach, such as a simple scheme to transport trapped atoms over macroscopic distances and around curves. The poster shows how such lithographic atom manipulation devices are implemented experimentally.
