In this work we present the current status of the injection- locked 14 W master-slave laser system for the gravitational wave detector GEO 600. Its’ monolithic master laser exhibits excellent intrinsic frequency and amplitude stability with an output power of 800 mW. In the locking bandwidth the master laser determines the stability characteristics of the slave laser, a high power laser in bowtie-configuration with an output power of 14 W.
The stability properties of the existing laser system have been characterised and the correlations between amplitude, frequency and beampointing fluctuations habe been thoroughly examined. The results of these measurements will be shown.
For the second generation of gravitational wave detectors laser systems with significantly higher light power are needed. In the course of development of a laser system with an output power of 180 W we are conducting tests of different possible configurations with 100 W (MOPA, stable-unstable resonator). Here we will present first results of these tests.
