High harmonic generation at 1kHz repetition rate — •U. Weichmann, A. Flettner, J. Günther, and G. Gerber — Physikalisches Institut, Universität Würzburg, Am Hubland, 97074 Würzburg
High harmonic generation provides a unique source of ultrashort laser pulses at wavelengths in the VUV. Both, for the study of high laser field effects as much as for the experimental application of high harmonic radiation, the generation of high harmonics at high repetition rates is desired [1]. In this contribution we demonstrate high harmonic generation at a 1 kHz repetition rate by making use of a piezoelectric pulsed valve [2]. Furthermore, this high repetition rate is employed in an experiment where the ellipticity dependence of high harmonic generation in different atoms and molecules is compared.
