Discrimination of Gauge, Higgs and Vierbein Fields with the Polar Decomposition in Complex Systems — •Mathias de Riese — II. Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Hamburg

Models of the physical world can be formulated in the theory of complex systems as networks of binary relations (links) between objects or agents. I introduce the notion of a polar decomposition of links in such a system and use it to classify systems and their parts. This elucidates the question in what way complex systems are generalizations of gauge theories. It is possible to discriminate between links which are generalizations of gauge fields, of vierbein fields, and of Higgs fields.
