Atmospheric Muon Angular Distribution at the South Pole — •Paolo Desiati — DESY-Zeuthen, Platanenallee 6, D-15738 Zeuthen
The measurement of the angular distribution for atmospheric muons with the AMANDA-B neutrino telescope at the South Pole will be presented. The sensitivity of the detector with respect to downgoing muons has been investigated and compared to theoretical calculations. The composition of primary cosmic rays, cross sections and the specific Antarctic atmospheric profile have been taken into account for the analysis.
