Astrophysical implications of the Crab Nebula observations with the HEGRA system of IACT — •Alexander Konopelko — Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik, Heidelberg
The Crab Nebula has been observed by the HEGRA (High-Energy Gamma-Ray Astronomy) stereoscopic system of imaging air Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs) for a total of about 200 hrs in 1997-1999. The energy spectrum can be fitted by pure power law of a spectrum index of 2.6 over the energy range from 500 GeV up to 20 TeV. Here I will discuss the physics parameters of the nebula environment as well as the models of a photon emission.
