QCD Sum Rules for medium modifications of D+ and D in dense matter — •Philippe Morath and Wolfram Weise — Physik-Department, Technische Universität München, Garching

We study D+ and D mesons in dense matter using QCD sum rules: Apart from a general mass shift, we expect a mass splitting between D+ and D. For this purpose, we derive new QCD sum rules for each the mass shift and the splitting between the mesons. The phenomenological side is modelled by the Born terms coming from the scattering process D+NBcD+N, where N stands for neutron or proton and Bc is a charmed baryon. We also take the new possible decays D+NBcπ into account. We analyze the sum rules in this framework and discuss possible implications to bound states between D mesons and heavy nuclei and consequences for the Charmonium spectrum.
