COMPASS is an experiment under construction at CERN-SPS which will study structure and spectroscopy of hadrons. For tracking with high spatial resolution small area silicon detectors are used which are under developpment in Munich. Because of high particle rate foreseen for COMPASS, silicon detectors would be quickly damaged. To avoid this problem, we will cool them down to a temperature of 130K, temperature indicated from the Lazarus effect to recover the properties of detectors. To this purpose, we are optimizing the design of the mounting structure and of the electronic read-out. In particular, we are performing some test to chacterize the read-out chips which we will use at cryogenic temperatures.
