The macrowave quasioptical educational KIT has been designed and manufactured for the experimental research on electrodynamic properties of solids in the millimeter wave length spectral range. The unique set of educational equipment provides investigation of the wave properties of electromagnetic radiation, millimeter wave spectroscopy of condensed matter materials, and modelling X-ray analysis of a crystal structure. The wave length of radiation used in this equipment is about 2mm (140 GHz) that makes also possible to observe the effects at length scales less and much less than 2mm. Due to its convenience and simplicity in application, this installation is suitable well for the education of students with the different degree of experimental experience and different age. The large wavelength allows to optimize training process by reducing significantly the requirements for the accuracy of aligning and adjusting of the devices.
