In the framework of the researchers group "Nanostructured functional
elements in macroscopic systems"
simulations on the growth of nanostructers on biotemplates have been
performed. Our studies especially
are dealing with the discrete and continuous modeling of Pt-clustering
on S-layer sheets.
Techniques to supress coarsening and to control film growth on
heterogeneous substrats are found.
Results from Monte Carlo simulations on a solid-on-solid model and from
the investigation of a film
equation show coherence.
