We investigate the interactions of the optical near-field with the carriers confined in zero-dimensional semiconductor quantum dot structures. Specifically, we consider dynamic interplay of the dynamic carrier-field-interplay in a single cubic AlGaAs/GaAs quantum dot. The dynamics of the system is described by semiconductor many-body theory and the Maxwell-Bloch equations. In particular, carrier-carrier and carrier-optical field interactions are taken into account. Moreover, the system is studied with application of an external electric field. The results show that the time dynamics of the system is special of importance for the QD’s laser fabrication.
