Sodium vanadate has been proposed to undergo a charge ordering and a Spin Peierls transition at about 34K. Lithium doping of 0.0034 reduces the transition temperature to about 32K. We studied the temperature dependence of the 23Na / 51V NMR line position for a single crystal of this compound. The external magnetic field has been applied parallel to the crystallographic a and c axis, respectively. Below Tc for H0 parallel to a, the 23Na line splits into several lines of different intensities while the original line persists to 5K . Above Tc and H0 parallel to a, there is a single 51V line which represents the V4.5+ state. This site exists to well below Tc. In addition, below Tc a V2 and V3 site appear; they are shifted by 70 and 120 KHz, respectively, towards lower frequencies.
