AXIALLY SYMMETRIC BLACK HOLES IN EINSTEIN-YANG-MILLS-HIGGS THEORY — •Betti Hartmann1, Burkhard Kleihaus2, and Jutta Kunz3 — 1Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Durham, United Kingdom — 2Department of Mathematical Physics, University College Dublin, Ireland — 3Fachbereich Physik, Universität Oldenburg, Germany
We investigated static axially symmetric black hole solutions with magnetic charge n ≥ 1 in Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs (EYMH) theory [1]. These hairy black hole solutions possess a deformed horizon with constant surface gravity. We consider their properties in the isolated horizon framework, interpreting them as bound states of monopoles and black holes. This framework has further led to a new “quasilocal uniqueness conjecture”, which states that static black holes are uniquely characterized by their horizon area and horizon charge(s). Investigating the validity of this conjecture for the EYMH black holes, we have constructed counterexamples to it.
