Measurement of the Br(KS0 → π e νe) and observation of the KL − KS interference in K → π e νe decays in the NA48 detector. — •Cristina Morales — Institut f"ur Physik, Johannes-Gutenberg-Universit"at Mainz
At the end of September 1999 a KS high intensity run
of 40 hours was performed at the NA48 detector located at
CERN and about 130000 KS,L0 → π e νe
events were collected.
The CPT theorem predicts a branching ratio of
Br(KS0 → π e νe) = (7.2 ± 1.4) ×
10−4.
With the data sample from the 1999 KS high intensity run
a resolution of about 1-2% is expected in the measurement
of this branching ratio.
We also report on the observation of the KL − KS
interference in KS,L0 → π e νe
decays and a measurement of the dilution
factor D = N(K0) − N(K0)/N(K0) + N(K0)
in the range of energies of the experiment.
