The electron beam properties of the ELBE accelerator — •Ulf Lehnert, Peter Michel, and Jochen Teichert — FZ Rossendorf, ZSE, PF 510119, 01328 Dresden
By december 2001 we concluded the first operational period of the ELBE accelerator. The acchieved results and measured parameters of the electron beam are presented here. Although the full beam energy of 20 MeV for the first accelerator stage has been reached, most measurements were performed at 12 MeV beam energy with varying beam currents and bunch charges. The nominal bunch charge of 77pC was reached and the measured beam parameters (energy spread, bunchlength and transversal emittance) meet the previous predictions.
