We present results of a feasability study for examining the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen type spin correlations of protons in a 1S0 intermediate state. A deuteron beam of 170 MeV was extracted from the AGOR-cyclotron at KVI, producing protons in a 12C(d,2He)12B reaction populating the ground state of 12B. The coincident measurement of the proton momenta and spin-correlations was performed by means of the Big-Bite Spectrometer and the EuroSuperNova detector. The experiment opts for a precision test of quantum mechanical predictions versus Bell’s inequalities.
