Quantum transport for Φ4 theory in 2+1 dimensions — •Sascha Juchem, Wolfgang Cassing, and Carsten Greiner — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Gießen, Germany
During the last years quantum off-shell transport theory has reachieved great interest in the description of strongly interacting matter out of equilibrium. In this context approaches are favoured that go beyond the standard quasiparticle picture and take into account the dynamical off-shell properties of the propagating degrees of freedom. We exactly solve the general quantum mechanical transport equations - the Kadanoff-Baym equations - for the model case of a Φ4 theory in 2+1 space-time dimensions. While restricting to homogeneous configurations in space, we study thermal equilibration, taking into account the appropriate renormalization prescription. Furthermore, we investigate the influence of standard many-body approximation schemes to the full theory.
