We have studied experimentally the influence of the molecular alignment on the electron emission from a two body Coulomb potential induced by photon absorption with linear polarized light. Applying successfully the technique of COLTRIMS it was possible to measure Triple Differential Cross Sections (TDCS) for the double photo ionization of hydrogen for fixed molecular orientation. We present momentum distributions of the second emitted electron for fixed orientations of the molecular axis in space and the polarization vector of the incoming photon while varying the kinetic energy and the emission angle of the first photo electron. The data can also be transferred into polar angle distributions allowing comparison with theoretical results for hydrogen and data for photo double ionization of helium measured with COLTRIMS. The electronic energy sharing and the momentum pattern as well as the polar angular distribution show a distinct dependency on the molecular orientation.
