Entanglement and noise — •Florian Mintert and Andreas Buchleitner — Noethnizerstr. 38 01097 Dresden
We investigate the evolution of the entanglement of a composite quantum system coupled to some noisy environment. Starting from the best separable approximation with a non-separable remainder of an entangled qubit pair, we formulate a necessary condition to track the degree of separability in time. Possible strategies aiming at a general solution of the resulting optimization problem are discussed.
