Bipartite Gaussian states in noisy environments — •Stefan Scheel — Optics Section, Blackett Laboratory, Imperial College, London SW7 2BZ, United Kingdom

Entangled Gaussian states are attractive from the point of generating them experimentally. We will discuss possible usage of those states and describe their decoherence properties [1]. From the equivalence of the logarithmic negativity [2] with the amount of squeezing in a symmetric Gaussian state it is possible to derive closed expressions for entanglement degradation rates. We will shortly discuss the issue of distillation of a pair of Gaussian states into one more entangled Gaussian state.
