We propose two methods to reconstruct directly the Wigner function of the micromaser field. For both methods the field is probed by measuring the atomic population of the Rydberg atoms in the maser levels after they left the cavity. By applying a Fresnel transformation to the measured data one can reconstruct directly the Wigner function. The second reconstruction scheme is based on an inversion of a system of linear equations.
