Quantum approaches to information protection — •Guihua Zeng, Carlos Saavedra, and Christoph H. Keitel — Fakultät für Physik, Universität Freiburg, Germany
Information protection essentially involves two aspects, i.e., preventing both eavesdropping and changes of a message [1]. In this poster, an efficient approach to information protection is presented by making use of quantum approaches, i.e., quantum cryptography. In particular, a quantum cryptographic algorithm for information encryption and decryption will be applied to prevent eavesdropping [2] and a quantum signature algorithm will be introduced to prevent an attacker from changing any information [3]. Since these schemes are unconditionally secure, the information can be protected without any drawback on its security. Reference: [1] B.
