Recent progress in slowing and trapping of neutral molecules opened up a new field in atomic and molecular physics [1,2]. Here we present a new technique for the creation of a continuous source of cold molecules. The idea is to construct an efficient velocity filter based on a electrostatic guide. It is made of four rods with a quadrupolar arrangement and guides molecules that are transversally slow, away from the effusive source. A bend section of the guide allows filtering of the longitudinal velocities. Here we discuss the setup and numerical trajectory calculations and present data on guiding.
