Non-equilibrium behavior at a liquid-gas critical point — •Jaime Santos1 and Uwe Täuber2 — 1Hahn Meitner Institut - Abt. SF5, Glienicker Str. 100, 14109 Berlin, Deutschland — 2Physics Department, Virginia Polytechnic and State University, VA 24061-0435, USA
Phase transitions in a non-equilibrium liquid-gas model with reversible mode couplings, i.e. model H, are considered. The model is perturbed out of equilibrium by placing the two relevant dynamical variables at different temperatures or more generally by considering anisotropic noise strengths in the Langevin equations which describe the model. An RG analysis of the model is performed to one-loop order and the dynamical behavior of the system in the vicinity of the different fixed points is studied.
