Emission of correlated electron pairs from a quantum dot: An exact two-electron initial state. — •Natasha Fominykh, Oleg Kidun, Arthur Ernst, and Jamal Berakdar — Max-Planck-Institut für Mikrostrukturphysik, Weinberg 2, D-06120 Halle/Saale
We use the two-electron eigenstates of a parabolic potential well to calculate the double photoionization spectra of a quantum dot. Being exactly solvable, the problem of two interacting electrons in the oscillator confinement provides a unique test for different approximate techniques for the treatment of few-body systems. It is shown that the momentum-space two-electron initial state probability density can be mapped onto energy and angular spectra by means of double photoionization.
