Epitaxial CrO2(100) films have been grown on TiO2(100) substrates by a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique. The surface and interface properties of the CrO2 (100) films were studied by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The spin-dependent electronic structure of CrO2(100) films have been investigated at room temperature by means of spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. At the Fermi level EF an energy gap of about 2 eV was observed for spin-down electrons and a spin polarization of about 95% was found at 293 K.
