Magnetization and electron-spin-resonance studies of MnCr2S4 single crystals revealed a positive magneto-crystalline anisotropy below the Curie temperature (65K). For decreasing temperature, the resonance lines are shifted toward low fields for the easy magnetization direction, <001>. Resonance fields for the hard directions, <110> and <111>, show a non-monotonic temperature dependence with a shift toward low fields in the range 65- 50 K and toward high fields for T lower than 40 K. Below 12 K a difference in ZFC and FC magnetizations appears with an additional anomaly in FC at 5K. The origin of the observed behaviour of magnetic properties is discussed in the framework of a complex spin configuration of the Mn sublattice and a structural transformation.
