Low energy behaviour of quasiparticles in superconductors with p-wave symmetry — •Corinna Kollath1,2 and Martin R. Zirnbauer1 — 1Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität zu Köln — 2Sektion Physik, LMU München
We investigate a model for quasiparticles in a gapped disordered superconductor with p-wave symmetry. In such a superconductor two topologically distinct phases exist [1]. The low energy density of states of the quasiparticles close to a domain wall between these two phases is investigated by field theoretical methods, in the random matrix limit. A model for the quasiparticles in a vortex can be gained by considering a circular domain wall [2]. In particular we are interested in the existence of a zero energy state which was found by quasiclassical considerations in the vortex of a clean p-wave superconductor [2,3].
