The Electron-Phonon Vertex in Strongly Correlated Hubbard Models — •Zhongbing Huang, Werner Hanke, and Enrico Arrigoni — Institut für Theoretische Physik und Astrophysik, Universität Würzburg, Am Hubland, D-97074 Würzburg, Germany

Strongly correlated systems such as the high-Tc superconductors display simultaneously sizable electronic and electron-phonon (el-ph) interactions. A new technique is presented, whereby the el-ph vertex can very accurately be determined from frozen phonon calculations. On the basis of a QMC evaluation, it is shown that it is, in particular, the off-diagonal half-breathing (π,0) coupling, which gives rise to a large enhancement of the vertex in the hole-doped case. Relations to stripe formation and to microscopic pairing scenarios will be discussed.
