Density of states of one-dimensional correlated electron systems — •Eric Jeckelmann — Philipps-Universität Marburg
The single-particle density of states of large one-dimensional correlated electron systems (up to 256 sites) is calculated numerically using the dynamical density-matrix renormalization-group method [1]. The density of states of an infinite chain is determined with a resolution as small as 1% of the bare bandwidth using a finite-size-scaling analysis adapted to dynamical correlation functions. As an illustration, I present the evolution of the density of states in the half-filled Hubbard model from the U=0 limit to the U/t=∞ limit.
