We present Raman spectra of the high pressure (HP) phase of (VO)2P2O7 and compare with the results of the ambient pressure (AP) phase. Several phonons in the HP-phase revealed Fano line shapes at low temperatures indicating an interaction with a temperature dependend continuum. We assign these line shapes to an interaction with the two-magnon continuum of the antiferromagnetic spin chains and discuss the origin of the temperature dependence on basis of spin-phonon coupling.
