Neoclassical particle transport is an important element of plasmas confined in stellerators. In the low-collisionality regime neoclassical losses are not intrinsically ambipolar in a stellerator, leading to formation of a radial electric field which acts on both neoclassical and turbulent transport. Hence, a good description of neoclassical transport is an important element for stellerator optimisation. The torsatron TJ-K can be operated with a low-temperature plasma with electrons in the low-collisionality regime. A combination of Langmuir and emissive probes are use to measure the plasma parameters. First results for the radial electric field will be compared with theoretical studies carried out with the DKES code, which solves the drift-kinetic equations.
