Plasma experiments with TESLA-TEST-FACILITY near the plasma frequency (simulations) — •Annika Krenz and Jürgen Meyer-ter-Vehn — Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik, D-85748 Garching, Germany

Up to 10¹⁴ photons of 20-100eV in 100fs pulses will be produced at the DESY TESLA-TEST-FACILITY in Hamburg in the near future providing intensities up to 10¹⁸W/cm³. They may be used to produce solid-density plasma with plasma frequency close to the photon energy. We present numerical simulations of the interaction with special emphasis on resonance effects.
