PRODUCTION OF SUSY PARTICLES AT TESLA ENERGIES — •Huber Nieto, Klaus M"onig, Hanna Nowak, and Achim Stahl — DESY, Platanenallee 6, 15738 Zeuthen
I study the production of SUSY particles at TESLA energies. I work in the mSUGRA scenario which has only five free parameters. In this context, I explore the possible detection of smuons at 500 GeV. Smuon pairs are generated with PYTHIA. Detector simulation is done with SIMDET, the fast simulation of the TESLA detector. A spectrum of masses in mSUGRA is given as input. I added to my study the main backgrounds that appear as 2 muons and missing energy. This final state is found not only in Standard Model processes but also in SUSY processes. Finally, the masses of the smuon and the neutralino are reconstructed from the energy spectrum at the measured muons.
