Flavour Violating Interactions and the Solar Neutrino Problem — •Herbert Dreiner — Nussallee 12, D-53115 Bonn

We discuss flavour violating and non-flavour diagonal neutrino interactions as a solution to the solar neutrino problem. We show that if the corresponding couplings are experimentally restricted as the supersymmetric R-parity violating couplings, then it is NOT possible to solve the solar neutrino problem in this context. It is necessary to introduce a vacuum mixing angle involving the first generation neutrinos. This new result is due to the new SNO data. Without this SNO data an acceptable fit is still obtained without a vacuum mixing angle.
