Production of neutral Higgs + Jet in the framework of the MSSM — •Oliver Brein and Wolfgang Hollik — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik, Föhringer Ring 6, 80805 München

The cross section for the production of the lightest neutral Higgs boson (h0) in association with a hadronic jet of high transverse momentum calculated in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) is presented. This process is considered a relevant search channel for the Higgs boson in the intermediate mass range (100-140 GeV) during operation of the Large Hadron Collider with low luminosity.

The expectations for the inclusive hadronic cross section at the LHC are discussed. In particular the contribution from squark loops to the cross section and its dependence on the parameters of the MSSM is investigated and found to be quite relevant. Comparison shows that the production rate for h0 + jet in the MSSM can differ widely from the one of the corresponding Standard Model process.
