Nafion 117 is a common and anisotropic ionomer membrane material that is frequently studied by SAXS[1-3]. Its nanostructure from inverted micellae results in a ionomer peak at medium scattering angle[1]. In the SAXS regime the scattering from the semicrystalline perfluorinated polymer matrix is observed. We present the first quantitative SAXS analysis that considers the materials anisotropy. Nanostructure evolution is studied as a function of strain and load.
