Coupled Nonlinear Mechanical Systems near Resonance — •Oliver Strebel — Handjerystr. 31, 12159 Berlin

Various nonlinear oszillators with minimal coupling, i.e. linear in the coordinates are studied numerically near resonance. These findings are evaluated in the context of the integrable subsystems.

The ability of various analytical techniques [1] to account for the observed frequency shifts is also discussed.
