Solvable model for dynamics of randomly branched polymers — •Florian Jasch, Alexander Blumen, and Christian von Ferber — Theoretische Polymerphysik, Hermann- Herderstr. 3, 79104 Freiburg
We treat the relaxation dynamics of randomly branched polymers both analytically and numerically. The model we consider is closely related to that introduced to study the critical dynamics of gelation [1], where also a Lifshitz-tail in the density of states was found. On the analytical side we develop based on the replica-formalism an integral equation for the corresponding resolvent. Based on it we determine the eigenvalue spectrum, from which the viscosity and the dynamic moduli in a Rouse type approach are infered. Our analytical results compare well with our simulation data. Our approach allows us to treat the problem of the Lifshitz-tail in a systematic fashion.
