The subject of our investigations are composites of II-IV semiconductor nanoparticles synthesized by colloid chemical methods, such as trioctylphosphine oxide-trioctylphosphine (TOPO-TOP) coated CdSe nanoparticles, and conjugated polymers, i.e., derivatives of Poly-(para-Phenylene-Vinylene). These composites have been found to be promising candidates as absorbing material in photovoltaic devices. Our investigations focus on charge generation and separation, particularly the photoinduced electron transfer between polymer and nanoparticle. For this purpose, we use Photoluminescence (PL), Light-induced Electron Spin Resonance (L-ESR) and Photoinduced Absorption (PIA) measurement techniques.
