Ball milling of melt-spun ribbons and subsequent compaction of the resulting powder in the supercooled liquid region ΔTx were used to prepare disc shaped bulk amorphous FeAlGaPCBSi samples (diameter of 10 mm and thickness of 3 mm). The low viscosity as well as the high stability of the alloy against crystallization in this region allow to prepare bulk specimens by combination of pressing and heating while the amorphous structure of samples is still maintained. The bulk samples prepared by combination of compaction and heating (hot pressing) show a coercivity of about 11.6 - 127 A/m and a magnetostriction of about 44 - 49 ppm. The values of permeability measured on toroidal cores (inner hole made by spark erosion) are up to 2500 and can be correlated with the corresponding values of relative densities of the samples.
